Thanks for joining me here for another dispatch of my (mostly) twice-weekly music and menswear newsletter, which is different (but somewhat the same) as my daily style blog from which it gets its name. Thanks for reading!
We’re doing things just a bit differently in my latest newsletter dispatch, so thanks for tuning in — if you’re looking for your fill of powerful rock, you’ll find it in this entry here. I’ll get into the details later this week (be sure to stop by on Saturday) but it’s time, if only briefly, for me to put my menswear and music writing on pause and instead, put on another one of the many hats I wear. I cover whiskey (or should I say, whisky) quite frequently, and I’ve also written about tequila from time to time, so, well, here we are: I’m hitting the road as we speak on my first international trip in well over two years (I last visited Spain to attend the Mad Cool Festival in July 2019!). Today’s locale is a bit closer to home, as Mexico is my final destination — and with revered tequila brand Jose Cuervo, at that! If tequila isn’t quite your thing, but music is, then check out some of my recent music work at Atwood Magazine.
But back to my trip: We’re getting a deep dive on the distillery’s history, its production processes and more, along with a deep dive into the culture of Guadalajara and Tequila. What better way to lead into a holiday week next week, yes? For now though, that means today’s recommendations are brief. Drumroll, please …
To listen to this week, head over to Atwood Magazine to listen to and read my review of Chicago-based rocker Dustin Currier’s first album via his Lightleak project.
To shop this week, why not get yourself a cozy and comfortable Mack Weldon Ace Crew Neck via my latest style blog post?
And of course, to sip this week, you already know what you need to do: Of course, get some Jose Cuervo delivered via Drizly to inject a bit of fiesta fun into your Thursday.
That’ll wrap things up for now, but you can always follow me on Instagram to keep up with the latest and greatest style, music and tequila content. Cheers!
