My friends, here we are again. Thanks for passing through The Style Guide In Brief, my twice-weekly music-menswear-craft beer newsletter. Over the weekend, I talked about an incredible revamp of a classic, the new “Dustland” by both The Killers and Bruce Springsteen himself. And today, well, we’re doing things a bit differently. Or rather, we’re doing things just about the same as I head down to Florida again.
The point being, I’m taking a quick break today as I hit the road, not all that dissimilar from my upstate trip on behalf of Eddie Bauer earlier this month. Call it a breather, call it a rare respite from plenty of menswear writing (check out my daily style blog or my work for Maxim, or The Manual!), but I do always appreciate the chance to reflect and relax as I hit the road back home to my adopted home state. In the meantime, head here to read about Wild Pink, one of my favorite bands of the moment, or check out another newsletter dispatch on Local Natives, the SoCal indie rockers who make soulful music I simply can’t stop enjoying over the years. I’ll also be enjoying even more of — and writing about! — Chicago rockers Moontype for my next Merry-Go-Round Magazine feature. Stay tuned, as you’ll surely here about it if you follow me on Instagram.
Think of it all as a sign of things to come for Saturday’s (free) newsletter. One last item on your to-do list: Head back over to my blog to read about the best summer craft beer from Threes Brewing (thankfully, my dad has some down in Florida — the Brooklyn brewery ships there, too!). With all that being said, it’s once again time for a brief respite down in Florida. We’ll be back here in high gear on Saturday, and until then, you know where to read my work! Cheers, folks.
